Mr. Patrick Feryn represents the agricultural sector on the Source Protection Committee. Mr. Feryn has been a cash crop and pork producer since 1988, with land on the Perth/Oxford boundary that contains a creek that flows into Wildwood Lake. He has co-operated on water quality related research on his farm a number of times. He has a B.Sc. in agriculture, specializing in crop science, and is a Certified Crop Adviser, and is certified to prepare Nutrient Management Plans for farm clients. He was Crop Consultant for Cargill Ltd. (1988-2001), and is now an Independent Crop Consultant (2002-present). For 12 years, including 4 years as Chair, Mr. Feryn was a member of the Soil and Water Sub Committee of the Ontario Soil Management Research and Services Committee.
