Paul Hymus is a consultant and resides in the former City of Chatham (Municipality of Chatham-Kent) in the lower Thames watershed. He is one of two committee members from the aggregate/oil and gas sector and represents the aggregate and quarries sector on the Source Protection Committee. Paul received diplomas as a Landscape Technician and the Landscape Technologist in 1969 and 1970 respectively and is currently operating Hymus Consulting Services for Erie Sand and Gravel Limited (aggregate industry) in the Town of Leamington. He has extensive experience with and knowledge about the Aggregate Resources Act, planning with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR), the Permit to Take Water program and water monitoring wells under the Ontario Water Resources Act, and the Environmental Protection Act. Related experience includes employment as an aggregate resources officer, lands officer, deputy conservation officer, park warden, and pits and quarries inspector for the OMNR, as well as part time landscape technician. Paul is currently president of a non- profit housing corporation overseeing management of 160 town houses in three locations.
